Cut and split in one pass, from log to stacked firewood.

Frequently asked questions

  • How many cubic metres an hour with a firewood processor?

Four cubic metres an hour on a WoodMax 20T, six on a 30T, with two people and straight wood. On knotty timber or with a single operator, take a third off: it is the feeding, not the machine, that caps the rate.

  • Petrol, electric or PTO: which processor?

Petrol if you move around and have no tractor. PTO if you already run one: one less engine to service. Electric if the station stays under a roof and you have three-phase power — it is the cheapest per hour and by far the quietest.

  • Which splitting knife: 4, 6 or 8 way?

Four way for large-diameter open-fire logs, six for everyday stove wood, eight for 33 cm splits delivered in volume. The knife changes in a few minutes to suit the job.
