The FS22T mounts on the three-point hitch and works vertically: the log stands on the ground and is never lifted. Twenty-two tonnes of thrust, a 150 mm ram, a 100-litre circuit at 21 MPa and a two-stage pump for a 24-second cycle.

Who it is for

For farmers and forest owners with a 15 to 55 hp tractor, splitting heavy timber they would rather not handle.

In practice

A 60 cm oak round weighs over 80 kg: on a horizontal splitter it has to be lifted. Vertically, you tip it on the ground and split it standing. It is the right choice for heavy, knotty wood.
