The DRG34T drops the conventional hydraulic ram for a flywheel-driven rack: the stroke fires in a single movement and the cycle falls to three seconds. Thirty-four tonnes of thrust, 550 mm capacity, a 7 hp engine, 215 kg.

Who it is for

For professionals and large producers splitting all day, for whom cycle time is the only figure that really counts.

In practice

Three seconds against twenty-four on a conventional hydraulic splitter: over an eight-hour day the gap runs into dozens of cubic metres. The trade-off is a more committing action, best left to an experienced operator.
