The RD9 works 235 mm below ground level and 600 mm above, with a 300 mm wheel turning at 3600 rpm and nine re-sharpenable carbide-tipped teeth. A 15 hp RATO recoil-start engine drives the wheel through a centrifugal clutch and twin belts.

For landscapers and households dealing with a few stumps a year, and for tight access.
In practice
At 80 cm wheelbase it goes through a garden gate where a tracked machine means taking down a fence. The teeth re-sharpen several times over, which keeps running costs down on sandy stumps.
